Why Are we so proud of our mahoning valley all star high school football teams  Mooney and Ursuline?  I have watched the playoffs this year in high school football and am shocked that these games have turned into a joke, I have watched too many great teams go down into defeat to Ursuline and Mooney. It is unfair to have these public school kids like Poland, Crestview, Stuebenville and Coldwater, work so hard at geting to these playoffs and get turned into a one sided affair by way of Ursuline and Mooney All star mahoning county football teams. These teams should play in Division 1 or 2 automatically. Yes,there are many guidelines that we follow but there are also guidelines that need to be looked at. I am not knocking the kids, because they have also worked hard, but the playing field is not level.  I am also really dissappointed at the terrible coaching decisions made by Coach Reardon at Ursuline.  1. He kept his first string in vs Crestview when the game was way out of hand in the fourth quarter and ran it up.  2.  The worst decision in high school football, came friday afternoon when Ursuline was up 48-25 with 1:20 seconds to go in the game , instead of taking the clock down and taking a knee he runs it in for a touchdown to go up 55-25  UNBELEIVABLE,NO CLASS      THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL , THOSE KIDS DOWN AT COLDWATER AS IF NOT DEVASTATED ENOUGH  HAD TO WATCH THEM DO THIS,GIVE ME A BREAK.  Well, dont think things will change much, but i know other people feel this way.

You guys are pathetic, continuously whining and complaining about Ursuline and Mooney. Do you realize how sad it makes your community look when you continue to claim we recruit, when we do not. What on earth have Ursuline or Mooney even done to constitute playing in the D1/D2 playoffs?! Between the two this year, they played just 3 Division 1 teams!

You may feel this way and the extreme minority of nuts like you, but most people are proud of what Ursuline and Mooney have accomplished, as we can truly say Youngstown is the most dominant area for HS football in OHIO!
